Strip and Re-slate Roofs

THE HOP KILNS, BENTLEY

This project was a major roof refurbishment for a private customer.  The work included stripping off the old slates and disposing of them and fixing new Canadian slates.

We also completed a timber box gutter, fascia and barge board replacements using larger sized timbers.  To create the original appearance and character of the roof, staining was applied to the slates rather than painting which provided the perfect traditional style.  The slates on the hop kiln sections were fitted with special hooks to prevent any wind lift.

Finally, lead valleys, gutters and top roofs were fitted to prevent any future mainenance issues.  We even dusted out the inside of the interior timber cladded towers.  The Owners input into this project was invaluable, being on hand to discuss any section of the works as they progressed.  They have since recommended TM Roofing on more than one occasion.

The finished project was admired by the Owners and his neighbours.  We have since completed a number of further projects in the local area.
